What did they get in return? It sounds like nothing. When I read this article it tells me that Zelitsky made off with the Martinez's money and deserved to be arrested. You can't take 3/4 of a Million dollars for nothing, if they fail to come up with the other 1/4 you can give them part of the shares agreed to, or refund their money minus any prearranged to penalty but you don't just get to keep the 3/4 of a million.
